clean and modern dental care room

With our state-of-the-art digital intraoral scanner, dental moulds with goopy impression materials are a thing of the past.

This means no more gagging, messiness, or sour taste in your mouth. Instead,  our intraoral scanner will take thousands of images of your teeth with a small handheld lens and convert them into a 3D model on our computer. Each person’s unique detailed model is used to fabricate crowns and night guards, develop orthodontic treatments, and help educate patients on their teeth . Modern digital dentistry is fully incorporated in our office to reduce the need for paper and keep us environmentally conscious.

The best treatment plans are based on an accurate diagnosis of any concerns.

We use digital radiography with our routine checkups. Beyond that, we also have the ability to do a complete 3D CT scan of your jaw bone and teeth to assess any potential issues, wisdom teeth positioning, and bone levels that a regular 2D radiograph cannot pick up. This 3D CT imaging allows us to see structures at all angles to ensure the correct treatment is recommended. It also enables us to plan any surgical interventions in a precise manner to avoid vital anatomical structures and create the best long-term outcome.

Our dental services include

  • REGULAR CLEANINGS AND CHECKUPS

Regular cleanings can help you avoid large cavities, gum disease, and infections, saving time and anxiety for the future. For most people, we recommend teeth cleanings and checkups every 6 months, where our hygienists will remove any plaque buildup around your teeth and under the gums. Patients with highly sensitive teeth can have a desensitizing agent placed on their teeth before the cleaning to make the experience more comfortable.

  • ROOT CANAL TREATMENTS

When a tooth is infected from a deep cavity or trauma, we make every effort to save the tooth. This is best done with a root canal treatment, where we will remove the diseased pulp tissue from the tooth to remove any bacteria or inflammation that can be causing pain. Once cleaned out, we seal the inside of the canals with a special filling. Typically, a crown is recommended as the final permanent restoration. This protects the tooth from fracturing while also lowering the risk of decay. Most root canal treatments are done under local anaesthesia and with our modern techniques, root canal treatments can be as comfortable as a filling appointment. Our experience in this procedure has enabled us to save many teeth from being extracted due to infection and pain.

  • WISDOM TEETH EXTRACTIONS

Getting your wisdom teeth removed doesn’t have to be anxiety-inducing. Dr Andy has many years of experience working in offices where his main role was taking out wisdom teeth. We also offer oral sedation to help our patients with more dental fear work through an appointment with a calm and relaxed mindset.

  • FILLINGS

We treat a cavity by removing the decay to restore the tooth’s structure, function, and aesthetics with white composite resin fillings that blend into the surrounding tooth structure.

  • LASER THERAPY

We use a Waterlase laser unit,, which makes soft tissue surgeries a lot more pain-free with a much faster healing time compared to traditional scalpel blades. The lasers are more gentle, with minimal to no bleeding, and can be used for simple removals of benign growths as well as for deeper gum surgeries.

  • ORAL CANCER SCREENING

A complete oral exam includes screening for any signs of oral cancer. With the use of the VELscope, we are able to identify cells of abnormal growth and rapidly manage the condition as needed. The VELscope uses direct fluorescent light to differentiate abnormal cells from healthy cells.

  • GUM GRAFTING

Gum recession can affect up to half of the adult population, and the timing and type of intervention is dependent on the severity of the recession. In most mild cases, we monitor the progression of gum loss and aim to maintain the levels as they are. In more severe cases where the support of gum tissues and bone around the tooth is very compromised, we recommend a gum grafting procedure. This is when strong gum tissue is taken from one area of the mouth (usually the roof) and relocated to where the recession is present. It is completed under local anaesthesia and usually takes approximately a week to feel comfortable again. Pain medications are prescribed to help manage the discomfort.

  • CLEAR ALIGNER ORTHODONTICS

Most adults have a form of malocclusion with how their teeth are positioned and how they bite together. This can result in excess wear on the teeth, difficulty with oral hygiene, and increased risk of recession, bone loss, and decay. To provide the best for our patients, we offer orthodontic treatment with clear aligners (including Invisalign) to improve the function, longevity and aesthetics of your teeth. Clear aligners are considered a no-bracket, no-metal form of orthodontics well suited to adults due to their discreteness and ease of use. We use clear plastic trays that are worn close to full-time and changed weekly to slowly move your teeth to a desired position that is pre-planned between you and our dentist, allowing us to make sure you're happy with the final result.
